Hello,

I need to design an IIR low pass filter.

Is it possible to use QEDesign to generate the required coeficients and if so, how do I get the coeficients from QEDesign into SigmaStudio?

Ian.

If you can get the A and B coefficients from QEDesign, you can easily enter them. May need to review the filter options that are available. They are detailed in help in SigmaStudio.

Add a second order filter to your workspace.

Edit the filter, then pull down the "type" and select IIR coefficients. 5 Boxes to enter directly.

You can also import them from a text file from there, but I have not done that myself. Be sure that your coefficients are normalized with A0=1 and none are above + - 16. A1 should be within + - 2 and A2 < 1, of course for stability. I have generated coefficients from Matlab's filter function and they work exactly as expected. You can verify using the simulate "probes" inside SigmaStudio.
