Hi there,

Is it possible to build HEX code with the trial version of Sigma studio? I just want to test ADAU1701 for a quick concept without having to spend 200USD on mini-eval.. If I could just build some HEX code and load it from my uC for a quick test, that would be great...

Seems like I already have all the SPI map when compiling, but when clicking on export system file, It builds a Hex file full of zeroes.. :-( (maybe looking in the wrong folder)

Thanks for your help,

Tony

Hello Tony,

I'd suggest first updating to the latest version of SigmaStudio. To do this, send an email to sigmadsp@analog.com.

The latest version of SigmaStudio should allow you to generate output files and to see all generated program and parameter data in the Capture Window. You may have to connect a "USBi" communication channel cell to the IC in the Hardware Configuration tab in order for the Capture Window to function properly. Please follow the capture window's write sequence exactly - this will guarantee that your system is initialized in the same way it would be on our evaluation boards.

This may work for an initial proof-of-concept, but please consider purchasing a board if you plan to continue evaluation. This will make it easier for us to support you, as well as give you features like real-time communication for tuning and debugging which will greatly aid you in the development process. The SigmaDSP evaluation board site is here: https://www.analog.com/en/embedded-processing-dsp/sigmadsp/processors/sigmadsp_evaluation_boards/fca.html
