The user inquires about the availability of reverb in the ADAU1701 compared to the AD1940. The final answer confirms that reverb is supported on the AD1940 and ADAU144x due to their higher memory capacity, but not on the ADAU1701. To check supported algorithms, view the library list in SigmaStudio after setting up the specific IC.

Hello

I am considering ordering an evaluation board and have been looking over sigma studio.

I noticed the AD1940 includes reverb under ADI algorithims but the ADAU1701 does not.

Is there a list of which feature set is available with each chip ?

thanks

Hello James,

Reverb is only supported on some SigmaDSPs (AD1940, ADAU144x) because it is a very memory-intensive algorithm. Other ICs don't have the necessary data memory to run this algorithm. There is not a list of algorithms that are supported by each SigmaDSP, but you can easily see what is supported in SigmaStudio by just viewing the libraries. All supported algorithms for a specific IC will appear in the library list when you set up the IC in your design
