Hello!

I'm searching for info about change parameters for filter over SPI. I fully understand principle - I have created communication between main microcontroller connected to DSP development board SPI , now I use ADAU1466 development kit + raspberry Pi for testing.

I can change parameter over SPI (for filter of second order I send 20 bytes to memory). Filter parameters are recalculated by https://ez.analog.com/dsp/sigmadsp/w/documents/5205/calculating-filter-coefficients-to-store-in-a-microcontroller

Is there any possibility to create blocks in sigma studio, where I will send data over SPI -

boost (boost of filter)
frequency (center frequency)
Q (Q of filter; must be greater than or equal to 0.01)gain (linear gain applied to the signal)
Fs (sample rate of project)

and parameters for filter will calculate own DSP and then change parameter data in memory for given filter?

Thanks for answer

There is a version of the general second order filter that does this. Look in the Tree Toolbox under Filters/Coeff Calculations/Second Order/Single Precision/General (2nd Order). The documentation is here:

https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/sigmastudio/toolbox/filters/general2ndorder#coefficient_calculations_on_dsp

This version of the filter block calculates the biquad coefficients on the DSP based on parameters that may be updated by a microcontroller (or using the Parameter Update block).

Thank you very much, it's what I'm looking for. I have small question to this block - is there any possibility to change any parameter (for example cut off boost based on other calculations in dsp)? I want to send over SPI from main microcontroller value of boost, but it must be changed linear not by step change.

I found problem in recommended filter, coefficients are calculated bad. Look here:
