Algorithm Designer For ADAU DSP's
Hi,
Our company has been doing a lot of R&D with the Sigma Studio for Sharc Platform. One great feature for us was the Algorithm Designer, which we were able to create many custom audio algorithms.
We are looking to release a new product this year, but does not require all of the horsepower that a Sharc offers. The ADAU1452 much better suits our needs for this application. However, we would like to be able to write our own algorithms on this platform, even if it is in assembly language.
Our question is can we use Algorithm Designer on an ADAU DSP? It seems like there used to be a tool available - is it possible for us to get a hold of this tool?

Hello Justin,
The problem with releasing this tool for the SigmaDSP is because we cannot support it. There is not enough documentation to fully train a person on the internal details of the core and the instructions and we do not have the people resources to do a proper job supporting this tool. It also means that we release a lot of details about our SigmaDSP core. We usually recommend a third party to develop a custom cell if a customer wants a custom algorithm. Base10Labs are the best people to talk to about custom cells.
