BF706 32 bit data to 24 bit ADAU1761 CODEC

Hi,

I want to ask about the data precision. I used float data types before, however, the computational cost is too high that the cycle exceeds the limit. Thus, I tried to use a long fract data type (32 bits) which is quite easy but not that precise. Then, another problem occurs which is the CODEC. The ADAU1761 is 24 bit meaning that the precision of the data I sent lost. How can I solve this? Can I make the ADAU1761 into 32 bit?
