Hey,

I am using sigma studio for ADAU1452 development kit. I have a block of size 512. I want to take the first sample and make some arithmetic operation to it. The other 511 samples follow another operation. So, how can we take the first sample of a block out. Is it possible to deal with individual samples in sigma studio? Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello sdastari,

Sorry your post went so long without a response. I have been thinking about this for a while and have not come up with a good answer but I just realized that perhaps I am not thinking of the same thing you are? What are you calling a block? Are you using block processing in SigmaStudio or is your data arranged into blocks?

If it is arranged into blocks then how do you mark the start of a block?

The SigmaDSP is inherently a sample by sample processor. So by design you can only operate on one sample at a time so that is not a problem. What is the problem is how to tell it is the first sample of 512? You can setup a timer to count the number of samples and do something different with the first of 512 samples but if this first sample is not audio data then how can you tell this is the first?

So give us a few more details and perhaps we can come up with something.
