Correct sequence to load new dsp firmware on adau1761 without POR

Hi,

We are using the adau1761 in a linux embedded system and are not able to perform a hard reset on the adau1761.

What would be the recommended sequence to load new sigmadsp firmware without perfoming a hard reset on the adau1761? I.e. if the sigmadsp is up and running "fw ver 1", how would we load and run "fw ver 2" without performing a hard reset?
