Hello: I would like to implement a Sigma DSP ADAU1701 Digital audio switch the would be controlled by GPIO inputs siiler to doing it in analog like this.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Hello bFlinn,

There was a recent thread that talked about this. I included a project for an ADAU1701 but I actually like the project that the user built and KJBob improved on. That was for the ADAU1452 but you can reproduce it on the 1701.

For one of these switches you will either need to directly switch the four switches with four GPIO. But that is a bit wasteful. You can use just two GPIO for a two-bit counter to count from 0 to 4. But, then you have to decode the two bits into four signals external to the DSP. Kind of your choice. You will have to adapt the SigmaStudio program to either only use two bits or to do four discrete GPIO.

I am editing this because I made a lot of assumptions about what you are doing with this switch. Please give us more details. What are you switching? Is it input or output signals? What are the analog signals on these switches?

What do you need the program to do? Give block diagrams or other details about what you need the hardware to do.
