ADAU1463 DC=123456, Readback=114688, why?
Hi ADI Engineer
I wont to read back value from a DC but it's wrong!
I try other values of the DC and all is wrong, 123456 -> 114688, 123 -> 116, 0xFF -> 0xFE...
I try SigmaStudio 4.7, 4.6 all same problem.
I try different ADUSB boards, then same problem.
Please help me!!!

Hello bradyhsu,
Sometimes It may give a trouble, I have also experienced that few times. Now I can't simulate the issue as you said. However, I will tell you a quick work around. Please change that readback cell to a continuous mode by clicking the blue button on the readback cell. It will become orange when it's on continuous mode. Now that will read the correct incoming data/value.
Once I tried this and It gave me a good result . Again both normal and continuous mode read correct data for me now. So let me see the continuous mode work for you.
Regard,
Harish
Hello,
Since you set the DC entry to 32.0 it should be possible to represent quite large numbers.
Could you try the following:
- Ensure the DC entry is downloading the correct number by modifying it after initial download, so you can see the value in the capture window
- Try changing both cells back to 8.24, set the DC cell to 1, then read back. Does that work? What about -1?
Are you on custom hardware or an ADI eval board? If it's custom hardware, you may want to look into your SPI signal integrity.

Hi JoshuaB & Harish
Thanks for your answer.
I think it is some poor contact problem.
When i twist my connecter then get correct value.
