The user wants to update the frequency of the built-in triangle wave generator using a potentiometer connected to AUX_ADC_0. The final answer confirms that the frequency can be updated in real-time using AUXADC, though changes won't be visible in the Graphical User Interface. The user can verify the frequency changes with an oscilloscope or by auditory feedback if within the audible range.

Hi all,

Hopefully this is a simple question. I want to update the frequency of the built-in triangle wave generator using a potentiometer connected to AUX_ADC_0.

I'm able to update parameters such as gain by using the "Parameter Update" function, but the parameter name for the frequency ("TriangleWithPhaseGainAlgS3001inc") is not appearing. Presumably this is because it is written using a "safeload write" instead of a "block write" like the other parameters.

How can I adjust this parameter in real-time via the potentiometer?

Regards,

Joe

Hello Joe,

I have tried the same. I can update the frequency parameter in run time using AUXADC. please follow the screenshot below.

You can't see the frequency changes in the Graphical user interface but you can check it with a scope. You can probably hear the change in frequency if the changes are between the audible range.

Kindly do reply if you need any clarification.

Harish
