The user inquired about programmatically accessing Capture Window data as Block Writes are performed. The support engineer confirmed that this is not possible. However, the user found a workaround by enabling 'Auto Export System Files' and 'Export XML only' in the 'System Files Export' tab, allowing for automatic XML export upon Link-Compile, which can then be parsed for changes.

I would like to programmatically access the output of the Capture Window as Block Writes are done. It appears that the only way to access the data in the Capture Window data is manually right-click and select one of the options (Copy to Clipboard, Save as text, etc).

Is there a way to accomplish this with either the Script Editor or any other methods?

Thank you,

James

Hello Harish,

Thank you for your response. It would be very convenient if this was possible. For now I can access this data by opening Tools -> Settings and in the "System Files Export" tab I check "Export XML only" then in the "Link-Compile" tab I check "Auto Export System Files" and set the Export file path.

Now when I make changes to the Schematic and press the Link-Compile button it will automatically export the .xml which can be parsed for changes from the previous compile by a separate program. The downside is waiting for the compile to complete each time.

Regards,

James
