I would like to report some issues with write last compilation and erasing memory through DSP in self-boot mode while using SPI.

When you click on write latest compilation through DSP the EEPROM properties window opens, you select SPI protocol and change data memory size, page size, write speed, number of address bytes.

When you click OK to confirm, the data in the fields change to the default ones. You have to repeat the operation several times before making sure it accepts the data you input.

If you look at capture window it shows that page size doesn't reflect the input number. For example if i set a page size of 256 it goes back to 32.

Here's a video showing it. You can see i have to repeat the operation several times:

Unfortunately data in the fields are not saved when i save the project and i have to repeat the operation again every time i open the project and need to write the compilation to EEPROM through DSP

One more issue is that the erase memory through DSP is not always working right. Here i have to repeat the erase several times to get the memory finally erased. I guess it's a software issue cause if i perform the erase through a micro using the data in the capture window it always work fine at first attempt.

Hello op-electronics,

In the video that you shared, you are connecting the EEPROM and USBi with I2C but in the pop-up window you chose SPI. When you choose SPI in both places it doesn't seem to be changing. I guess there was an issue previously with this window is not updating, but it seems to be working fine now. Can you please check this?

Just choose SPI in both places and check whether the window parameters are changing, if it is then please reach out to us.

Regards,

Harish
