I am trying to use the Parameter update block in Sigma Studio in order to dynamically change the delay parameter in my delay blocks such that I can create an adaptive beamformer. How exactly are you supposed to use the Parameter update block to update such values? I've tried to use a simple DC source as input and it never changes. Please let me know if this is possible.

Hello joseassy,

Please refer the attached screenshots and project.

You can see in the project that we can update a DC cell's parameter (its value) and delay parameter (No.of samples) by writing to a parameter update block with a DC cell. You have to configure the parameter update block with a block name and its parameter as shown above. Note that the parameter window will only open after you compile your project.

Kindly do reply if you have further queries.

Does the value shown in the parameter box (where you can manually input the parameter) update as you use the parameter update block? Follow up, does the parameter update block update as I change values in the DC block?

Hello,

Yes, the chosen parameter in the window will change as we update the parameter update block from a DC cell.

In the example 1 above,

The chosen parameter is 'value' from the block 'DC2'. So, If I update the parameter update block from DC1 with the value 5, you can see the DC2 block's 'value' is written as 5 and you can read it by the readback cell.

Yes, if you change the DC value from 15000 to some other value in the example 2, you can see that the delay time will be changed acc to your new value.
