Sigmastudio 4.7 corrupted my project and it corrupts the software.
I had a crash while trying to implement something for testing, and it crashed Sigmastudio.
When I went back to load my project after a restart, it loaded nothing, and then trying to load a known working project, the software simply closed.
My project is there, but won't load. If I load a different project first, it loads fine. My only conclusion is that somehow my project file got corrupted. Is there any recovering it?

Hello David,
Can you send the project over to me? I do not know if there is anyway to recover it but it is worth taking a look.
Do you recall what you exactly were doing when it crashed? That might be a clue as to where to look and also it is something we might try to replicate to see if there is a bug.

Hello Dave,
I just wanted to write in, that this happens to me daily when using SigmaStudio, and has been like this thru all versions since 4.4. I'm currently using 4.7 and last night a very large project I worked on all day became corrupted and is now empty when loaded. (ADAU1452 at >80% instruction size).
This is obviously very troubling for production environments where we have released "code" schematics. What happens if that code somehow becomes corrupt? Then we have to "redraw" the whole schematic again.... from memory? So, we've had to take screenshots of all blocks/boards just so we have some insurance against this crashing behavior. It happens EVERY TIME WE MAKE SCHEMATICS.
I've noticed it after Sigma has either been open for a long period of time, (maybe 2 days?) and/or when copying/pasting boards with lots of parameters. For example, the copy paste operation I did last night was on a board that had 20 each of the following: fractional delay, IIR 2nd order filter with hand entered coefficients, subtract, gain, 2 hierarchy inputs, 16 hierarchy outputs, and a handful of other low MIPS blocks. It takes my computer about 30-45 seconds to paste this block...and every so often, maybe every 3rd or 4th time I make this copy paste operation, Sigma crashes, and if I save at that point, for sure everything will be overwritten as a blank schematic. So, I'm wondering if maybe there's some windows memory allocation/handling issues? Because this never happens when I first load a schematic or start from a fresh launch of SigmaStudio. It only occurs after some length of time, or after several copy-paste operations of significant size.
We've been dealing with this for about 3-4 years, and have learned to save often at various points, and change the name of the file each save (growing our directories with hundreds of filenames just for one project, so that we have a for sure "backup" for when this WILL happen.
Any advice you have would be great appreciated. Also, if you're able to somehow recover the project (which defaults to 1k size post-crash), please let me know. That would save me the 2-4 days needed to re-draw the full system again.
cheers!
