Dear someone else..

Where could I find material about ADAU1452 Safeload Data Register Write Format.

TARGET: MID EQUALIZER AND CROSSOVER DEVICES on sigma studio).

Why Analog devices informations are always LACK OF INFORMATION, OBSCURITY, CLARITY, LACK OF SUPPORT MATERIAL, TRUNCATED INFORMATION
OR DROPS, clear and objective information?

Hello fpg,

With all due respect. This is well documented in the datasheet. Page 93 of the Rev D datasheet goes into all the detail of how to do a safeload write.

Can you be a little more specific as to what you need to do and what is causing some difficulty and confusion?

If it is the location of the filters coefficients in the crossovers you will see it in the Params window and also in the export files. If you need to calculate the coefficients well that is a deep subject and takes a lot more to explain that. There are many posts on the forum about that topic. So there certainly is a learning curve for that.

Hi Mr Thib.

Thanks for your anwers. I need all this informations because I intend to use the DSP with a uC.

I need all this informations :ADAU1452 Safeload Data Register Write Format formula to calculate the filter coeficients etc etc etc .Those will be programmed into microcontroller that will drive the DSP.

According data streamming send from sigma studio to DSP board:

76 60 00 coeficients datas of the mid equalizer........
76 60 05 00 00 00 1B 00 00 00 05
76 60 00 coeficient datas of the mid equalizer........
76 60 05 00 00 00 1B 00 00 00 05

all the numbers in hex format:

0x76= dsp address

0x1b=mid equalizer address

Where I can find information about what does the 0x05 means?see the picture please.

Thanks, best regards!

Hello fpg,

You are doing things the hard way. SigmaStudio does a lot of this for you and makes it easy to see what is being sent to the DSP from SigmaStudio. You can capture these into a hex or text file if you like.

This is done with the Capture Window. Here is an example of a filter I changed and captured it on the screen.

Just have your controller do the same thing.

Yes, you will need to send the address of the chip in the SPI or I2C message and format it properly but for the coefficients you can have SigmaStudio do some of these calculations if you like or there are many posts that discuss how to calculate coefficients. Also, for the Sigma300/350 parts we have several coefficient calculating filters where it will do the calculations for you. There is so much to learn here but do not be discouraged, it is all fun and super flexible. There will be a bit of a learning curve and you are trying to run without learning to walk first.

Please do one thing for me. Send me a friend request. Soon I will have an announcement that you may be interested in and I will send it to all my friends.
