USBi Python generic USB to I2C

Hello together,

my question would be if there is a library or a manual how to use the USBi (ADUSB2EBZ) as a generic USB to I2C bridge from Python?

The goal would be to create a very simple UI tool which just reads data from a known register address, without the need of running SigmaStudio. We would use this tool internaly to read out the running firmware version on the Sigma DSPs. Those products do not include a host MCU, thats why we can't display the firmware version through a different communication channel.

For sure we could use a different USB to I2C bridge but using directly the USBi would be more convenient.

By the way:

If you have a better solution to print out the firmware version from a SigmaDSP only device, please let me know :).
