Product recommendation for 7band digital Parametric EQ Project.
Hello, I am a senior student in the Computer Engineering Department at University in Korea.
I would like to inquire about purchasing products from Analog Devices.
As part of our coursework, I am tasked with developing a digital hardware parametric equalizer (EQ).
The specifications for this project include a 7-band EQ, equipped with USB input and output capabilities.
Additionally, the EQ is to be adjustable via an iOS application, utilizing Bluetooth for communication purposes.
Given these requirements, I think that the SigmaDSP product line might be suitable.
However, I am seeking direct recommendations for specific products that would best suit our project's needs.
And... I am also considering purchasing separate modules for the USB interface and Bluetooth.
I would greatly appreciate your response.

At the moment, none of our evaluation boards for the SigmaDSP products have the capability of sending and receiving audio over USB. We also do not have a Bluetooth interface on the boards. There are third party suppliers who make a product called a USB Streamer that interfaces using I2S/TDM and converts to and from USB. We use these around the office as well. So I suggest you obtain one of those boards. As far as Bluetooth. There are Bluetooth small evaluation boards that you certainly could connect with our evaluation boards. I suggest you look into buying our EVAL-ADAU1467Z eval board. It is the one with the most headers for interfacing external boards. That part also has eight AUXADCs and more GPIO pins so it will make it easier to build an EQ with external knobs and switch controls.

This is the USB Streamer. It says it is out of stock. It has said that for months. Seems strange.

Actually, I looked a little more and it looks like they have a simpler version that should be perfect for you. Cost is good.

I was thinking of sending you some example projects but there are so many ways to do things. I suggest you take the time to plan and block diagram what functionality you need and how it needs to be controlled? Define the controls and what each control will do.
Then I can give you some ideas on how to do it or you can search this forum for answers.

It is always important to outline what your final goal is going to be. Then work towards it. Sometimes you have to change it along the way but it gives you a direction to head.
