Self-boot stopped working with program update
Hi there,
I have a bit of problem with the eval board at the moment. I was able to successfully self-boot, but have put together some changes to my file, followed the usual compilation and push process, write to EEPROM which appears to work, but when I remove the header from the DSP board and reenable self-boot and hit reset, nothing happens. Why does it no long er work? Is there a way I can connect and interrogate the status of the self-boot pin with a basic readback perhaps to make sure the ON position is still ON?! Anyone else had this problem?
Many thanks.

Hello Mark,
Could you check that when you remove the header, If the reset is on hold? You can look at the Reset LED on the board to verify this.
It seems you did everything correctly; so, it must be something simple with the hardware.
So, please watch the reset line and see if something stands out.

Harish
Hi Harish. I'll try tomorrow when back in front of the hardware. Thank you.
Hi Harishgowtham , just wondering if this helps? My process just now was:
SELFBOOT low, USBi connected
Link → Compile → Download to confirm DSP responds normally
Right-click ADAU1467 → Self-Boot Memory → Erase Memory through DSP
Right-click ADAU1467 → Self-Boot Memory → Write Latest Compilation through DSP
Right-click ADAU1467 → Self-Boot Memory → Check Last Compilation through DSP — but received issue in the screenshot.
Could there be an electrical issue to one of my pins (damage etc) that could be a problem. Is there a way of confirming communication between the ADAU1467 and the EEPROM to confirm they are communicating at least?
Hello Mark,
Ok, let's quickly check if you can read and write to the EEPROM properly, we will just write 5 data and try to read that back.
1) Take a flash programmer, set it and write a data file like below.
2) Then open a new project and take SPI read module and try to read it back like below.
By doing this, we can verify a basic read and write operation between the EEPROM and the DSP.
Please try this and get back to us.

Harish
Apologies, I never received the notification of your response here. I will try this tomorrow and get back to you with a result. Thank you.
