Hi. I am programming ADAU1452 via i2c

with Other Sigma DSP such as adau1761 I am able to readback the Program and Parameter memory .

However when I try this with the ADAU1452 it does not readback the same values that i program it with.

I can read back any of the hardware resisters correctly though.

The reason I wish to do this is to confirm that the DSP is pr grammed OK, As it does not work as expected.

The PLL is Locked.

Has anyone attempted to readback these memory adresses?

Thanks

Brett

Hello Brett,

I must admit this information is well hidden in the datasheet. It should be listed in the control port sections but it is only listed in the Register map area under random access memory. Page 83 of the datasheet. Here is what it says:

Program memory can only be written or read when the core is stopped. The program memory is hardware protected so it cannot be accidentally overwritten or corrupted at run time.

So I am guessing that this is what is preventing you from reading the contents of the program memory.

Let me know if this is not the problem.

Thanks,

Dave T
