SigmaStudio defines Parameter Names, can this be changed?

Hello,

A little background:

- Using SigmaStudio xml file as an export to be read by our service and values are written onto the DSP.

The Cell name is generated by SigmaStudio, for example for a switch it is "SwitchAlg326ison".

My question is, why do those names have a count variable in them? Do they have to be unique? Wouldn't it not be enough if the CellName (which can be user defined) is unique?

In my case (simple int32 switch), could the Parameter Name not always be "SwitchAlg32ison" without the variable number in there?

Best Regards,

Christian

+1000000000000000000, I can't agree with you enough on this.

The name of a block in Sigma Studio is already unique, so the fact that some other number is tacked onto the definition (address) generated in the export is extremely annoying.

You can make some additions to the schematic, export, then have to change things in the code just because Sigma decided to index the blocks in a different way. I think if the user does not change the name of the block, its definition should also not change. Would save a lot of time and hassle, and frankly should have worked like this in the first place.
