I'm trying to find the pin #1 dot, on the ADAU1446 (100-Lead Thin Quad Flat Package [LQFP]). I have tried examining the package with a magnifying glass, but I just can't see it. Is pin #1 near the same corner as the AD logo? Is there any other way to determine the location of pin #1? Is the dot raised (i.e. a bump)? or is it sunk (i.e. a pit)?

As you can see, I am replying to my own question after a period of only 15 minutes. Sometimes you just have to ask a question and then the answer jumps out at you.

So - on the ADAU1446, the case has four dots, one in each corner - BUT one of those dots is smaller and indented. I am assuming the small indented dot indicates the corner with pin #1. And yes - it is in the same quadrant as the AD logo.

Yes, the corner by the ADI logo. The smaller indented one.
