Will there be a Voltage Controlled Delay for ADAU1452 DM0 and DM1 available ?
Hi Analog,
I often work with the Multitap Voltage Controlled Delay Block.
In the ADAU1452 there are now 3 types of delay available: DM0, DM1, External SPI. Only one of them is available as voltage controled delay.
It would be very nice to have all 3 delay types as voltage controled available.
Do you think it will be possible to implement this in the near future ?
Best regards
Bernd

Hi Bernd:
Of course, thank you for the feedback. I'll make sure this request makes it to the development team.
Miguel
I want to add that the lack of this function is currently a blocking issue for me... It would truly be nice to have this feature available. Shame to have all that memory and not be able to use it.
Hi Miguel,
There are several function blocks that need to have external controls. The Reverb in the effects group and the delays to name the ones I am working with now in a new design.
Thanks for the help.
John
Hi Miguel,
Do you have an idea when the "voltage controled external delay" will be available.
I have the external delay in hardware and would like to use it, but unfortunately the parameter handling is so different from the dm0 and dm1 delay that i can not mix the different delay types. Especially because a wrong parameter in the external delay can lead to word wrapping and to a full scale noise output.
Even a rough estimation of the availability date will be appreciated and also a beta version.
Thanks for your help
Bernd
Hi Miguel,
Version 3.12 of Sigma Studio has been released. Unfortunatly there is still only one type of voltage controled delay available. Since your response 6 months ago made me optimistic that AD is working on this topic I built my hardware with an external SPI delay. As i mentioned in my last post the handling of the SPI delay is somehow delicate and a voltage controled version is urgently needed.
What can i do ?
As i got no reaction on my post 2 weeks ago i would appreciate it if you can give me a short notice that you read these posts.
Best regards
Bernd
Hi Bernd,
We are adding this feature for the upcoming Beta release. It will be available during Mid of May 2016.
