Hi everyone,

I did my own version of a Phase Locked Loop, like normally used for frequency modulation. Everything works fine in SigmaStudio, but when I transport it to a microcontroller I have some bugs.

Therefore, I was wondering if you have ideas to make a Phase Locked Loop? I just want to brainstorm on some ideas to debug my SigmaStudio project Of course if I show you the answer you would probably simply conquer with my method or try to debug it so...

Thanks!

Hello,

Since your project works when downloaded from SigmaStudio but not through your microcontroller, there could be an issue with your microcontroller program -- the way it sends the initial program load to the DSP. Perhaps you could have your microcontroller load a simple pass-through project to your -1761 and see if it works.

Software PLLs in SigmaStudio inevitably require use of the Feedback block. A known difficulty with this block is described in this post: https://ez.analog.com/message/226538?commentID=226538#comment-226538

One other possibility if you're using a General First-Order Filter in your loop, with a version of Sigmastudio older than 3.12.4:

Best regards,
