Hi All,

I would like to use a FIR block into a ADAU1761 for removing the background noise, how/where could I calibrate the right coefficients?

A simple pass-band filter isn't enough because the noise spectrum is overlapped to the human voice, then I would like test something "stronger" for getting a better quality into voice signal.

Thanks in advance

Hi TheRacer,

you're right, that a simple pass-band filter is not enough to filter out the noise/human voice, because they are in the same, broad frequency spectrum. For adequate filtering of voice (the voice frequencies are change all the time) you have to change/adapt your filter coefficients all the time. The principle you are searching for is "Adaptive Filtering". There is a lot of literature out there, but it isn't simple...

Best regards
