[Bug Report] Mono switch Nx1 momentarily sums inputs?

Thread Summary

The user reported a bug with the ADAU1701 mini board where switching from an upper to a lower radio button in a mux causes the output to stay at 1.00000, while switching from a lower to an upper button results in a temporary output of 3.00000 due to the sum of both inputs. The issue is confirmed to be with the mux, not the DSP Readback or Peak Envelope block. The crossfade or ABCD block does not exhibit this behavior.

I think this is a bug?

When switching from an upper radio button to a lower one, the output stays at 1.00000, but when switching from a lower one to an upper one, it jumps to 2.0000000, I think because the switch algorithm is momentarily passing both inputs summed together.

Does not happen with crossfade or ABCD block, so that's good.

Hello,

I confirmed this bug on a ADAU1701 mini board, the mux causes exactly the behavior you described. Experimenting with various re-arrangements of the circuit below also demonstrates the following conclusions:

The mux definitely adds the two inputs momentarily -- 1 + 2 = 3

The mux is the source of the problem, not the DSP Readback or the Peak Envelope block.

You found a really interesting bug!

Best regards,

Bob
