Is it necessary to load the contents of DATA RAM while initializing ADAU1761?
In our current design, an MCU is there to initialize ADAU1761 through I2C, with all the necessary register contents.
We found the following 2 questions:
1/ In the current DSP initialization table, a DATA RAM table with start address + contents is there, should it also be loaded in booting?
2/ In the generated DATA RAM table by SigmaStudio, each line is 5 bytes? But in our mind, each register in the DATA RAM should be 4 bytes, so why this happens? Did you notice this? Can we load them as 4 bytes per line?
Thanks!

Hi Daniel:
Follow the default donwnload sequence as shown in the sequencer window for reference. Program RAM is 5 bytes wide, Coefficient/Parameter RAM is 4 bytes wide. Sometimes (if the blocks you choose use Non-Modulo memory) it's necessary to load Non-Modulo Data Ram (4 bytes wide). When running the DSP, the core enters an initialization subroutine that clears Modulo DATA Ram. All you need to write is it's size (first parameters from Parameter RAM) and the DSP would clear the memory for you before you start running your program.
Hope this helps
Miguel
