Hi,

I'm starting a design for a speech privacy system and my customer needs white noise sources that will run for a minimum of 215 hours without repeating. Is this possible on the 1446 chip, if so how do I set up the white noise generator for this?

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim:

One of the current white noise implementation allows user to enter a seed. If the periodicity provided is not sufficient for one algorithm. You can always multiply 2 of them that use a different seed (a separate prime number for both would be best).

Thanks Miguel,

Can you tell me how to calculate this (the period) based on how the 1446 generates the noise. I put one of the white noise sources with seed in my design, but I don't see a place to enter the seed value. It looks like Sigma Studio is generating a different number for this value every time it's switched off then on from the Sigma Studio GUI.

Thanks,

Tim
