How to configure the input circuit?
Well here I am feeling like an utter fool but I really need to get this working. I get heavy distortion when I use my ADAU1701 and I'd dare say that the reason for this is that the input circuits parameters are all wrong (i.e. the analog input is being over-driven). I know what the recommended settings are but I just can't seem to find how to configure them!
So to sum it up: How do one configure the AUX input circuits?

Hello bressem,
First of all, are you using the audio ADCs or the auxiliary ADCs? The auxiliary ADCs are only meant for control signal inputs, since they have a low bit depth, low sample rate, and are generally unsuitable for audio signals.
If you're using the audio ADCs, what is your signal amplitude?
I'm using the audio ADCs. And about the amplitude; I'm using Smaart for measurement, and according to it, around 0 dB linear to 16 kHz where it peaks to + 15 dB ( ! ). Can a reason be that the input voltage is above the full-scale input? And if that's the case, how to change it?
Please see page 20 in the datasheet for information about the signal levels for the ADC inputs: http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/data_sheets/ADAU1701.pdf
With the standard circuit, the maximum input is a 2 V rms sine wave, which equates to about 5.5 V peak-to-peak, AC coupled. What is your test input signal level?
Yeah than the problem is the regulator. Guess I don't have much choice, just going to have to break out a soldering iron and get that **** on.
