Generate a single pulse with ADAU1761 and Sigma Studio
As I'm a new user, Hi Everyone!
I hope you can help me with my problem. I have the EVAL-ADAU1761Z board and I need to generate a single square pulse and send it to HP Out. The pulse has to be 100µs and I don't know how to generate such a short single pulse using Sigma Studio. I have tried using a square wave generator, setting it on 20kHz, then turning it on and off with a script, but I2C bus used to program this board seems to be to slow for that. As a I get 20ms of square wave signal.
Is there any way to program it so it generates just one single pulse?
Hi zaqway,
This circuit generates one pulse for each positive-going trigger input at its timer block (I tested it with the 100 Hz square wave generator as shown, which gives an audible pulse train). When the input goes positive, so does the output. After the number of samples given by the DC source, the timer output goes to 1.0, which brings the output back to zero. At fs = 48KHz, 5 samples works out to 104 uS. You can use any "5.23" format signal which goes from 0.0 to 1.0 for your trigger.
Best regards,
Bob
Thank you very much Bob, it works perfectly, the way you designed it.
Based on your circuit, I have made another one that outputs a signal for a specified ammount of time. The one below generates 1000Hz sine wave for 50ms (2400 samples @ fs = 48kHz), 5 times a second, triggered by square wave generator. Maybe it will be useful for somebody, so I decided to post it here.
Thanks Bob and zaqway,
This is a great candidate for our Wiki, where we have some example projects that help SigmaDSP developers tackle common problems. Would you mind posting the project as a zip file? Then I can put it on the Wiki for everybody to access.
Or you can upload it yourself!

Thanks!

Hi Brett,
I don't have this project on my computer right now, but I can upload it here tomorrow.
EDIT: Uploaded. If there is anything you would like me to change, let me know.
