Some question:

it is possible to resolve the limit of the sample rate.

I have a problem I need to exploit all the 1024 available instructions on 1701

however I need a sample rate of 96000 and with 96000 the maximum number of instructions is 512.

The maximum number of the available instructions he can have only with samplerate of 48000.

I have need to produce a frequency of 33000 but with samplerate 48000 the maximum possible it is 24000.

Does someone of you have a solution?

Thanks

Thanks Brett,

to this I had also thought me but it is a problem of costs, to use 2 1701 is more convenient to use an only processor with more possibilities of calculation.

It was me nice 1701 but I will have to abandon it.

However I find strange that is not possible to produce 330000 Hz sampling to 48000 to have available the 1024 instructions.

As it is possible that with SigmaStudio the clock of the DSP cannot be divided for then using it.

Hello Piero

If you need to generate a signal above 24 kHz and below 48 kHz, then a 96 kHz sample rate is necessary. At a 96 kHz sample rate, the maximum number of instructions available in the ADAU1701 is 512. If you need more than 512 instructions, and the sample rate needs to be 96 kHz, then the only solution is to use two ADAU1701s and distribute the processing across both of them.

Brett

The reason for this limitation is the Shannon-Nyquist Sampling Theorem, which states that for a sample rate f, the highest frequency that can be sampled without aliasing is f/2. So, this is not a problem specific to SigmaDSP, but rather an inherent limitation of digital audio sampling.
