Hello,

I has applied nosie reduction which is ADI's own algorithm on ADAU1761 for my application. From experiments, I verified that that algorithm is effetive in reduction of noise under 100Hz. However I want to extend cut off frequency to 1kHz. I wonder there is any way to reduce noise under 1kHz using noise reduction alogorithm block. Or any other way?

Best Regards,

Mack.

Hi Mack,

Which algorithm are you referring to specifically? Could you provide a screenshot or a more specific description of where this algorithm is located in the toolbox?

Thanks,

Brett

Below is the screen shot.

I used SigmaStuido Ver. 3.7 Build 7.

Brett,

I also have an application where I am strictly concerned about low quality voice (we are happy with 2.5 to 3kHz bandwidth). Currently I have my system running at 48kHz, but would like to back down to 16kHz so I can play with the noise removal algorithm as mentioned above. When I select 16kHz (ADAU1761) everything seems to fall apart. I do have some DC blocks in my system (driving a VCO) and I have adjusted them to 16kHz with no luck. I have also played with some of the hardware configuration stuff, but I don't want to head too far down that road until I know what I'm doing.

I did 'set system sampling rate' to 16kHz as well, but I've not had any luck. Also I adjusted my DC block to compensate for the change in sampling rate.

Best regards,

Bob

Bob,

Have you tried following the steps in this tutorial?

Brett,

Thanks for pointing that tutorial out. I will try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
