Hi All ,

this a first discussion for me , and hope to get some support ,

I was using VLSI codec IC in my prototype Projects, and one of my friends telling me about ADAU1761 , when i take a look with specification, power supply and chip size , it really great IC ,

My question it possible to interface the SD Card with the ADAU1761 or EVAL-ADAU1761Z, to record data or to play back ? if Yes , how the max size it can support ? 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128 Gb ?

regards and thanks in advance

I don't know any existing way to directly interface any sigmadsp part to a memory card. You could use a micro-controller to interface to the digital audio lines. Then you could write a program in the micro-controller that would buffer data to and from a memory card into a standard digital audio format like I2s.

The SigmaDSP doesn't have a memory that can connect directly to a memory card. You'll need some kind of microcontroller to sit between the ADAU1761 and the memory and basically store/retrieve the audio data to/from the memory.
