Hi there,

I was wondering about some control parameters regarding SigmaStudio. Using the SigmaStudio blocks, is it possible use one of the sources to control a parameter? For example, lets say I want to have a delay of an audio signal by X(n) amount of samples where X(n) is a source such as a sine wave. Is this possible to use a source to control paramters like this? Or another example would be using an envelope detector to control something because I would like to control some parameters based on the amplitude of my incoming audio signal. I haven't begun to try too many things with SigmaStudio but I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with this or let me know if it is possible from the SigmaStudio blocks.

Thanks

Hi Jesse:

Yes, you can absolutely control parameters using other blocks. You simply need to make sure that your ranges are compatible with the input block ranges. For example, the sine tone has a range of -1 to 1 by default, if you were going to feed a "Delay" with it's output, you will need to scale down and adjust your sine tone to fit the size of your buffer in 28.0 format. In other words, you need to multiply your sine tone by a smaller so that your maximum and minumum number fall within the delay buffer range. You can use signal envelopes in a similar fashion.

Hope this helps.
