Hi

I'm trying to detect a "beep-beep" signal with a given frequency and duty cycle. The idea is that one system/node sends out a "beep-beep" generated using for example the Chime Freq-Gain and that this "beep-beep" is then detected by another system/node.

I'm new to SigmaStudio so all suggestions are greatly appricated. Currently I'm working with the ADAU1761.

Best regards,

This sounds like it could be difficult, but not impossible. It really depends on the details of your application.

At first glance, it sounds like you could use a detector scheme similar to what you'll see at the bottom of this thread: https://ez.analog.com/message/7669#7669

You'd have to implement a bandpass filter prior to the detector so that you're monitoring a very specific frequency. This scheme would require that there isn't a whole lot of other noise in the signal at that particular frequency so you could set a threshold to determine if that beep signal is "on" or "off".

There's probably a way to calculate duty cycle using our zero cross detector cell, but that would likely be quite complicated.

Hello,

The forum software changed a few years ago and a lot of links were broken. I don't think we have a way to find the new link without knowing the post title.

However, you may find this page interesting:
