Just a quick question, can the Program and Parameter RAM values be written in blocks of bytes? I am booting the DSP from a microcontroller and everything has worked up until I tried booting using program and parameter ram files larger than the max size the system can write to the DSP in one write, and had to therefore write them in 500 byte segments. Is single write a requirement of the Program and Parameter RAM locations?

You can write the program and parameter RAM in chunks of any length, as long as they are divisible by the word size of their respective memory locations.

For example, the ADAU1761's program RAM stores data with a length of 5 bytes per word. So, you could write 5 bytes, 10 bytes, 15 bytes, or any multiple of 5 bytes to the program RAM (not including the chip and subaddress bytes that come at the beginning of the transaction).

The ADAU1761's parameter RAM, on the other hand, stores data with a length of 4 bytes per word. So, you could write 4 bytes, 8 bytes, 12 bytes, or any multiple of 4 bytes to the parameter RAM (not including the chip and subaddress bytes that come at the beginning of the transaction).
