Need help creating a stadium effect w/ ADAU1442
I'm working on an 8 channel amplifier that utilizes an ADAU1442 for different configurations, EQ filterss, Gains, etc. Now, I've been asked to investigate creating some sort of stadium/concert hall/auditorium effect using this chip. I'm just a software engineer and I don't really know a whole lot about the DSP side of things so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I'm just kind of wondering what combination of effects, such as reverb, chorus, delay, etc., I could use that will achieve this. I know the amount of data memory will be an issue trying to get this effect implemented on all 8 channels, but for now I'm just focused on a single or dual channel implementation.
If anyone has any advice and/or suggestions, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Effects like "stadium" are primarily adding reverb to the signal, but may also be doing some spatialization (stereo spreading) as well. You're correct that you will probably be limited by the amount of data memory on the SigmaDSPs for this sort of effect. A stadium setting, especially, will have long, cavernous reverb times that probably can't be implemented with the on-board data memory. There is a reverb cell in SigmaStudio, though, that you can use to try different settings. This can be found under ADI Algorithms > Effects.
