Hello,

I have a problem with the "Detecting Level."

While the first ADAU1701 to convert data from the dsp algorithm I used this manual on Sigmastudio.
With the ADA1446 this algorithm does not work.

Is there any other algorithm?

Maurizio,

Can you please provide more detail about what's not working for you? What difference are you seeing in the level detectors between the ADAU1701 ad ADAU1446? The function of this block in SigmaStudio has remained the same between these two processors.

In DSP ADAU1701 write register address of DATACAPTURE0 LEVEL DETECTOR then read the parameter.
In ADAU1446 how I understand it, you need to read directly from the register of the control.
Applying the same algorithm:

dB_value = 96.32959861 * (readback_value / 2exp19 - 1)

I get the wrong values.
Something wrong?

Here's an explanation on how to read back instantaneous and average Linear signal levels from SigmaDSP:

The format of the readback signal is basically a fraction of full scale. So, if I read back 0.5, then it means my signal level is half of full-scale, or -6 dB.

You'll have to do the dB conversion in an external processor/microcontroller.
