So, I've been using the ADAU1761 Eval Board and it's working out great for us! We're starting to design our own circuit and are running into some questions about loading the program at boot time. With the ADAU1761, we have to use a uC/EEPROM to load the program at boot. Any suggestions for uC? Will a PIC/PICAXE work? Any examples out there? We're thinking of using a microSD flash card instead of EEPROM chip, so that we can send our users new programs and they can load them on their own using the microSD. Any concerns there?

Thanks!

Freddie,

We're glad to hear that the ADAU1761 has been working well for you. A PIC microcontroller should be fine for booting the 1761, although we don't have example code available. As long as your uC can interface to flash memory, I don't see any reason why you couldn't read the data from there and then load that into the SigmaDSP.
