I am new to the SigmaDSP product line.
What is the best evaluation board for a SigmaDSP novice?
sigmastudio
SigmaDSP
The EVAL-ADAU1701MINIZ is a great evaluation system for engineers who are unfamiliar with SigmaDSP. The package includes:
Full version of SigmaStudio
ADAU1701 SigmaDSP processor, with integrated audio ADCs and DACs
EVAL-ADUSB2EBZ (USBi) communication interface
Self-boot EEPROM for standalone operation
Basic GPIO circuitry including buttons, LEDs, and potentiometer
Line-level stereo input and output
Class D amplifier with connections for two speakers

The Class-D amplifier on this board is an SSM2306, which is a stereo 2W amplifier. The SSM2306 is conected to the ADAU1701's DACs 0/1 and the line output on the EVAL-ADAU1701MINIZ is connected to DACs 2/3. So, four channels - two amplified, two line-level - can be output from this board simultaneously.
hi ,
i just recently got my hands on the EVAL-ADAU1701MINIZ
i get the sigma studio to adjust the audio output
my question is
is it possible to use an external device and connect it to the mcu to adjust the audio output instead of using the schematic
on the sigma studio (just like the potentiometer attached on the kit is used to adjust the volume)
To use a microcontroller to control the SigmaDSP, the microcontroller should simply emulate the control writes sent by SigmaStudio.
