Hello,

I'm using an STM32F103 acting as mass storage flash and a FatFS file system on board which allows me to take a hex file so I can upload this to a ADAU1761. Looking at the output from the SigmaStudio I see that when I use Graphic EQ eight order shelving I get what seems to be 20 parameters per band. The filter is described as a Holters/Zolser's. I want to calculate the values using the PC so I have a few questions.

Quetions:-

1) What is the structure of the filters as it seems to be using four sets of coefficients

2) What calculations apply (how to calculate on PC)

HI cforester1965:

You shouldn't need to calculate the filters on the PC if you use either the index selectable Holters Filter OR if you use the one that takes a single parameter to control the filter. Have you given those variations a try?

Miguel

No I haven't I'm not too familiar with the software tool box only started this a few days ago.

I was thinking this was a easiest way to implement a two 14 band eq's.

Thanks for the suggestion I'll look into that.

I thought with all the filters you still need to calculate the coefficients?

The index method appears to use more resources I seem to need one filter for each level or I'm I missing something here?

Hi Miguel,

Given that I need 28 bands I think the index method is not comparable with my design.

I seem to be back to calculating on the PC. I only need to set this once, it does not need to be dynamic or click/pop free. The setting may only change 2 or 3 times in the life of the product.

Colin.
