ADAU1452 Voltage Controlled SPI Delay issues?
Dear EZ,
i've been using VC SPI delay cell in several projects but i always run into problems.
Most of the time when this cell is used into a schematic and EEPROM is stored with data i have issues with erasing the EEPROM and/or downloading a new program to DSP/EEPROM. If i remove the VC SPI Delay cell download of program to DSP/eeprom works again.
Whenever i run in such a problem i have to power off the DSP board, remove delay cell from schematic, erase the eeprom from DSP, add back the delay cell to schematic and if i'm lucky i can download new programs to DSP once again. Sometimes it takes me hours before i can make it work again. It's quite frustrating when it happens.
One more issue happens when a program with VC SPI delay is stored in bootload eeprom and at power on of the DSP board white noise appears on the output. It's like if a short burst of noise signal is applied to VC SPI delay input. I usually mute the delay output via MCU at power on to avoid noise but it's an annoying thing.
I think it's some sort of programming issue with the external RAM IC cause, when it happens, if i switch to a different hardware (with same RAM IC) communication to DSP works back again.
Can you check?
Thank you!
Omar
