Hi,

I have a customer looking at a DSP for audio processing.

They will have onboard microphone and speaker (probably 1-2W), and also support analog and digital headsets. The audio will be mono, but we will have two simultaneous channels.

They require noise gate, wind reduction, echo cancellation and noise reduction features.

I had a look at the Sigma DSP family and the available algorithms. I noticed that the ADAU145x and ADAU146x can do Echo cancellation and noise reduction but not wind reduction.. Is there a DSP from the Sigma DSP family that can do all those algorithms mentioned? If not, is there anything from the Sharc family?

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. We do not currently have an algorithm specifically for wind noise reduction. The NR block for which you have a demo does work on steady wind noise, but it takes a few seconds to adapt. Note that someone has posted an example of a simple wind noise reduction algorithm here.

Either the ADAU1452 or one in the '6x family is likely closest to what you are looking for.

Best regards,

Ken
