ADAU1761 audio codec on zedboard
I have written HDL code to program zedboard and able to listen loopack audio from HPH out and giving audio in from line in Jack. I don't want to play loopback audio, I want to play the audio which is given externally thorugh the design. What are the constraints I have to modify to give external audio in to the Audio codec.

Hello sgk,
I strongly suggest you download SigmaStudio Rev 4.7 and create a project with either the ADAU1761 or the ADAU1961. I am not sure which one is on that board but there are some slight differences between those two parts.
Then in SigmaStudio it is really easy to see the signal flow and to select the flow you desire. Then you can clear the Capture window and click on Load-All-Registers and in the capture window you will have all the register settings. You can select all of them and then save them as text files or other options. You can also move it over to the sequencer to test it and from the sequencer you can output it to an XML file.
You will want to shut off the loopback signal and select the routing of the serial port. I am not sure if you are using the DSP core. You can route the serial ports to avoid the core. This is on the digital setup page.
Here is a screenshot of the Record input path. You see on the top there are other tabs for the playback and digital options.
These views in SigmaStudio is so much easier than trying to get all this info from the datasheet. It is all there right in front of you and then it is easy to export the register values. It is a great tool.
