Hi everyone!

Using SigmaStudio, I have managed to export my system parameters and configuration so I can change the parameters of the DSP with a microcontroller.

The problem appears when I want to check if a delay value (the only parameter in a delay block, under DSP Functions->Delay->Delay) will be valid or not. To achieve this, I want to check if the new value is less than the maximum value allowed by the delay block, but this value is not exported as any define to the .h generated files.

There is a way to get this value?

I have tried with the latest version of SigmaStudio, version 3.7.4 beta.

I am using an ADAU1701, though it is not relevant.

Thanks in advance,

Ruben

Hi Ruben,

The export files only generate definitions for parameters that are defined and stored in parameter RAM (like the actual delay setting). The max delay could actually be thought of more like a pre-compiler directive that helps the compiler to allocate memory. It's not a number stored anywhere in RAM, it's simply used by SigmaStudio at compile time. I will put it on the wishlist to see if the software team could include it in future revisions, but I can't promise anything because I'm not very well-versed on how the compiler and export system works - it might turn out that the software architecture in its current form wouldn't easily support this option.

Thank you for your answer.

Lets see if it can be exported in some new release, it would be usefull for microcontrollers code to know the maximum delay, so it can perform some checkings before the actual delay update.

Best regards,

Ruben
